What is Callendar?
Callendar is a meeting reminder that sets a real alarm before every meeting. Silent notifications get dismissed in a glance — a full-screen alarm doesn't. Syncs with Google Calendar, works on iOS and Android.
How much does it cost?
Callendar is free to use with one calendar and two ringtones (Classic and Gentle). Pro unlocks unlimited calendars, all ringtones, smart quiet hours, weekend toggles, and alarm volume control for $4.99/month or $39.99/year (about $3.33/month billed annually). Pro starts with a 7-day free trial.
What platforms is Callendar available on?
Callendar is a native iOS app (iOS 15+) and a native Android app (Android 8+). On iOS 26 and later it schedules a real system alarm that goes through Silent, Do Not Disturb and Focus. On Android, a full-screen alarm wakes the device and rings over silent mode. Earlier iPhones get a full-screen ring instead.
Which calendars does it support?
Google Calendar. You can connect any number of Google accounts on Pro — personal, work, and shared calendars — and Callendar schedules an alarm for each upcoming event.
Does the alarm really ring when my phone is on silent?
Yes. Callendar schedules a real alarm, and your phone treats an alarm differently from a notification — full-screen on the lock screen, ringing over silent mode and through Focus. On Android, a full-screen alarm wakes the device and rings over silent mode.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Callendar requests read-only access to your calendars — we read upcoming events to schedule your alarms and nothing else. Your calendar data is never sold, and your events are not used to train any models.
Can I pick my alarm ringtone?
Yes. Free includes the Classic and Gentle ringtones. Pro adds urgent, office, melody — or vibration only, plus alarm volume control. Set a global default and override it per event so work meetings and personal events can sound different.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again after cancellation.

How do I stop missing Zoom calls?
The most common reason people miss Zoom calls is that standard notifications are easy to overlook — especially on a silent phone. Callendar sets a full-screen alarm minutes before your Zoom meeting starts, and it rings through Silent mode and Focus. Tap Open and the meeting link is already loaded.
Will Callendar ring during Focus mode or Do Not Disturb?
Yes. Callendar schedules a real alarm, and alarms are allowed through Focus and Do Not Disturb by default — the same way your wake-up alarm is. You stay in control: quiet hours, per-event overrides, and volume are all yours to set.
What's the best meeting reminder app for iPhone?

How do I make my phone ring for meetings automatically?
Install Callendar, connect your Google account, and choose your alarm ringtone. Callendar does the rest — it reads your upcoming meetings and schedules an alarm for each event automatically, with no manual input required.
Does Callendar work if my phone reboots?
Yes. The alarm is scheduled on the device itself, so it survives a restart, a force-quit, and a dead network. If your phone reboots between now and your meeting, the alarm still goes off at the right time.
Is there a wake-up alarm for early morning meetings?
Callendar can set an alarm for any meeting on your calendar, including early morning ones. Configure quiet hours in the app if you don't want late-night alarms, and Callendar will respect those boundaries while still waking you for your 7 a.m. standup.
What is a full-screen alarm and why does it matter for meeting reminders?
A full-screen alarm takes over the whole screen, on the lock screen, and rings out loud. Your phone is allowed to hold a notification back — Silent, Do Not Disturb and Focus all get a say — but an alarm is something you asked for, so it goes through. Callendar schedules a real alarm for every meeting so your reminder can't be filtered out.
How is Callendar different from regular calendar notification alerts?
Standard calendar alerts appear as small banner notifications that disappear in seconds and are completely silent if your phone is on mute. Callendar replaces the banner with a full-screen alarm — it lights up your screen, rings over silent mode, and puts the meeting one tap away.
Can I set a different reminder time, like 5 minutes or 1 minute before the meeting?
Yes. Callendar supports configurable lead times so you can choose when the first and second reminder fire — for example, 10 minutes and 2 minutes before, or 5 minutes and 1 minute before. Pro users can also customize this per calendar or per event type.
