iPhone Meeting Reminders: Check Notifications, Focus, and Alarm Access

Check the App’s Notification Settings

Open iPhone Settings → Notifications and review the calendar app that sends the reminder. Check notification permission, sounds, and alert style. Focus settings can also affect which app notifications are allowed through.

AlarmKit Is a Separate Permission

Some apps can use Apple’s AlarmKit framework to schedule prominent alarms. That is different from a standard calendar notification and requires authorization. Test the Complete Reminder

1. Confirm the event is in the calendar and account that your reminder app uses.
2. Set a test reminder and use the lead time you normally want.
3. Leave the phone in its usual Focus, sound, and lock-screen state.
4. Confirm that the alert appears and that its event details or meeting link are correct.

Callendar syncs with Google Calendar and offers call-style meeting reminders. It does not place a regular phone call. Alert behavior depends on device support, permissions, and settings, so test before relying on a reminder for an important meeting.
